As the saying goes, “Know thyself.” When developing an effective study plan, it is imperative to engage in a holistic self-assessment, acknowledging both strengths and areas that beckon for development. In the wake of dissecting the national certification examinations, I found a multitude of strengths as well as domains where potential for growth resides. I identified proficiency in pharmacology and the art of conducting physical examinations across the lifespan, particularly among older patients, as notable strengths. Additionally, my prowess in deciphering mental status, obtaining patient histories, conducting assessments, and conducting interviews emerged as key strengths. On the flip side, a need for improvement came to light, particularly in the realm of pediatric and adolescent care. This deficiency may be attributed to my relative unfamiliarity with this age group. Moreover, my grasp of genomics, epigenetics, neuroanatomical, and neurophysiological concepts requires bolstering. I also aspire to refine my ability to select and deploy a variety of instruments, including the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) scale, Dsm – v, and the Adverse Childhood Experiences International Questionnaire (ACE-IQ).

This meticulous approach allows me to gauge my trajectory and ascertain whether I am on course for success. My journey towards a master’s degree from Walden University echoes this process as I evaluate the institution’s objectives to assess my attainment. I will meticulously assess each course, dissecting the components of homework, examinations, discussions, and assessments in those that have already concluded (Ma et al., 2021).
