Nursing wasn’t my initial career choice; I embarked on this second career journey approximately 2.5 years ago. My nursing career commenced in the Med-Surg ICU at a level 2 trauma hospital. Around a year and a half ago, I transitioned to the Endoscopy unit within the same hospital. Each department I’ve ventured into presented its unique learning curve, replete with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Nonetheless, I’ve relished the experience of exploring diverse specialties, participating in medical procedures, and interacting with a wide spectrum of individuals. Embracing new knowledge has always been a passion of mine; my husband even jests that I’ll perpetually be a student because of my fervor for learning. Hence, returning to school was an unequivocal decision for me. My primary motivation for pursuing further education in the nursing realm was simply to expand my knowledge and expertise. The shift to nursing proved to be the right path for me, and I’ve savored nearly every moment of it (the ups and downs included!).

To be candid, my only apprehension about this whole academic adventure revolves around ensuring that I can dedicate ample time to excel in each of my classes. Balancing a full-time job and a family I adore, with whom I cherish spending quality time, poses a delightful challenge.
